My graphic card driver is not working properly

December 9, 2015 at 09:18:05
Specs: Windows 10
Hi, this is my first post and my problem is that since I upgraded to windows 10 about half a year ago, my graphic card hasn't been working like it used to work on windows 8.1 because the screen turns off while I'm using it. I made a lot of research on the Internet but I didn't find anything useful :/ Somehow I managed to "solve it" by connecting my laptop to an external screen via HDMI and downgrading my graphic card driver to the previous one and It works for like a week in average but It will turn off eventually. I don't know if it's because the driver version, or my graphics card or my laptop in general or even the OS. It would help me a lot if someone could tell me what to do

My laptop is an Acer aspire v5 -573P -9422
- Intel core i7 -4500U
- Intel HD graphics 4400
4gb of ram

Try installing the Windows 10 64-bit VGA drivers for your model from the Acer website.
There are two to install, one Intel VGA driver and one Nvidia VGA driver.

For UK models: http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/cont...

For US models: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content...

For other countries, click on the link at bottom-right of either of the above pages.

Best if possible to give a link to the source website rather than one direct to the file. That allows people to look at the authenticity of the website and also obtain background information.

EDIT:
Seems this one is from Acer themselves which is the right place to go.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Re #6
We are usually very guarded about using third party driver programs. Driver Talent is something I've never hear of and I've been helping on these boards since mid 1999.

Use the advice given in #1 or #2 - that's assuming you are still around.
