Specs: Windows 7
I just upgraded from windows xp to windows 7 basic. I was able to use my speaker that plug into my PC but not anymore. There is a yellow sign on the multimedia audio controller and PCI input device. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I need to know what I can get that is compatible with windows 7 so I can use my speakers.

You need the Windows 7 audio driver for your PC model from your PC manufacture's website, in the Support or Downloads section.

You should have checked their website before changing the OS because Windows 7 may not be supported on your PC model.

Have a look on their website and keep your fingers crossed.

I have a dell dimension 4600. I have already been on the dell website trying to find help but no luck. I will try again but it is very difficult for me to find multimedia audio controller for windows 7.

Right click on the yellow exclamation and select "update driver" and let it check the web to see if it can find the driver.

Do you know if was the ADI sound driver or Creative labs, under xp?

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

I have already tried to click on the yellow exclamation mark and the web could not find a solution. If I am not mistaken I think I had a creative sound installed before I upgraded to windows 7. I have soundmax installed on my PC now but that does not help.
