Specs: Windows Vista
Built computer and tried to install Vista. The OS won't recognize my sata 2 HD and the mobo driver CD (Gigabyte) doesn't have any compatible drivers. What am I supposed to do?

Upgrade to XP?

heh, sorry, had to.

You should of downloaded the drivers for your chosen OS ahead of time and placed them on a CD or USB drive. The drivers on the CD that comes with the motherboard are usually outdated by a year or so at best, and worse don't work at all.

At the very least, download the ethernet driver, install it, go to the manufacturers websites and download the drivers straight to the PC you are building.

or you could always upgrade to XP, or Windows 7. Heh.

There's no OS on the system and the drivers are updated from the mobo. They were downloaded first from CD then I went online and downloaded the new ones to a USB. None work.
