Solved Missing password for clickfree automatic backup device

Specs: Windows 10
I was missing this clickfree device for many years and thought I had lost it. I just found it when I was moving and I had all my military information, pictures, videos and don't know what else. I just found out that the company doesn't exist anymore. The only way to reset is to erase everything on there then it will allow you to open it. Makes no sense and I dint know that it was very vital to keep that password at all times or you would lose everything. Any help will be much appreciated.

Did you set up a "hint" when you created the password? See these statements from the User Guide:

"Warning: Be sure to pick a password that would be difficult for anyone else to discover and that you will be able to remember – if you forget your password there is no way to recover any backed-up content from the Portable Backup Drive."

"Warning: Be sure to pick a hint that would be difficult for anyone else to interpret and that you will be able to remember – if you forget your password and cannot remember it using the hint there is no way to recover any backed-up content from the Portable Backup Drive"

"What if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, and cannot remember it from the hint you set when you enabled password protection, your only choice is to reset the Portable Backup Drive and lose all of your backed-up content.
