missing or corrupted driver

Specs: Windows xp pro
I get the old WindowsXP System32\drivers\Pci.sys is corrupted or missing. I have no disks. Is there somewhere on the internet I can download one to a cd. I'm using my laptop right now and can make a disk. If not where can I buy the disk I need and what is it called. This is why old people hate computers. lol

Try and borrow a friend or relative's XP disc and follow this:

I don't understand a word of what they are saying. I'm 64 years old, didn't even have computers when I was young, calculators were the big thing. Thanks anyway, but I have no idea how to do any of that stuff they are talking about. The console thing, not sure where that is or even if I can get to it. That's the trouble, everyone uses the tech talk like everyone knows it. There's a whole generation out there that doesn't. Thanks again
