Intel (r) graphics download reduced my windows score.

Specs: Windows 7 / 64 bit, quad-core/ 4gb ram
I have Intel graphics driver ver- installed. Also have Realtek ALC 8885 Hp audio ver- AOO installed. Went to Intel download center and used auto-update. It said to install the latest graphics version Did that but re-ran windows experience index and it lowered my score in graphics by 1.2 points. And it also downloaded ( automatically) a ver- high hdmi driver which doesn't seem as good as the other. Question is; Why did updated drivers reduce my score and did I do something wrong? I'm still new to this. I have a Dell studio 540 quad-core running windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Intel warns that the drivers they provide may not be fully compatible with the hardware in OEM systems. I suspect that is your problem.*&DownloadType=Drivers

Read the warning.

Drivers for Dell systems should be obtained from Dell.

It would probably be best to revert to the previous drivers.

Thanks for the response. Let me be more precise. I went to Dell downloads first and used their auto-detect for drivers and updates. Dell gave a list of all drivers for my system using my tag #. Those (Dells) are the ones that I downloaded the first time. After reverting back I went to Intel site. They listed the exact same drivers and versions as Dell. So if both OEM sites auto-detect my system with service tag # shouldn't that work or not? I just need to get my graphics score up. What else can I do to get these better? Performance #'s are; processor 7.2, ram 7.2, graphics 4.6, gaming graphics 4.7, primary hdd 5.9. (Avg. 4.6). Like I said I'm still trying to learn so any help would be grateful. Thanks.
