Specs: Windows XP SP3, intel celeron 1037U/2Gb DDR3
Hi my current pc is the combination of intel NM70 MB, graphics chip-Intel HD graphics 2500(ivy bridge), processor-intel celeron 1037U, 1.8GHz duel core. ram DDR3 2gb, os-Windows xp Sp-3. I am facing a critical problem with my graphics performance. My screen is always vibrating a bit. My monitors refresh rate is 85, which i know is safe from any visible vibration. I am using a samsung syncmaster 793df 17" desktop monitor. Previously i used nvidia geforce 6200 turbo pci card with my win2k3 server. but as i changed my pc and os, i cannot install nvidia card on this one. While installing pc restarts in the midway. So i have no option but use the default graphics card. But this screen vibration causing me real trouble. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

A refresh-rate of 85 is unusually high for the native resolution of a 17" display. It shouldn't need to be set any higher than 75 even for screens larger than that.

If you can't remove the vibration, consider replacing the monitor with a modern (and much, much lighter) LCD or LED monitor, as your old technology CRT monitor may be faulty.
