Input device problem

Specs: Windows XP, 1.598 GHz / 1014 MB
MY THINKPAD R51 SUDDENLY ONLY BOOTS IN SAFE MODE,IN DEVICE MANAGER IT SHOWS A PROBLEM WITH THE, HID NON-USER INPUT DATA FILTER (KB911895),I UNINSTALLED THEN REINSTALLED,STILL SHOWS IT HAS A PROBLEM,SHOULD I HAVE REBOOTED AFTER UNINSTALL THEN REINSTALLED?BECAUSE DOING IT WITHOUT REBOOTING 1ST DIDNT FIX IT. ALSO IN SAFE MODE,MY VIRUS PROTECTION IS DISABLED,WONT ALLOW TURNING IT ON ALTHOUGH I CAN MANUALLY SCAN
