Specs: Windows Vista, amd athlon 64/2620mb
when updating the drivers for nvidia GeForce-615OSE nFORCE-430.The following happens when booting up all the desktop/monitor ikons are very large.I have gone into personalisation>display settings>resolution, and reset to 1024by768 pixels ( yahoo.s reccomedations, not mine!" but the problem is when you reboot for a new session all the ikons go back to their large size. This problem would also seem to affect all othe programs in relation to size.So I think the problem is twofold How can I avoid having to reset the resolution, and what is the default setting for the monitor (Generic PnP monitor if that helps)

Try rolling back the video driver to the previous version (in Device manager) and see if the problem's cured. If it is then check & see if there is a more up to date driver available from the NVidia website - if it's the one you've already tried then stick with the old driver until a newer one appears. As far as the resolution of the monitor is concerned, it depends on the screen size and the what the manufacturer's decided so check on their website under 'specification' for your model monitor.

So,I think we can now close this post,Thanks again!!
