Specs: Windows XP
I have a Dell XPS 430 desktop with a core2 quad processor,6gb ddr3 memory and 1 tb hard drive. I downgraded to xp because my wife doesnt like vista or windows 7. I found all the drivers except for the audio driver which is a IDT High Defination Audio Codec. All the idt downloads I try are for vista.I tried doing the ones here in the forums for intel and realtec with no luck.A tech friend of fine played with a driver and did something to it but it worked on my pc...but the speakers and the headphones would make a popping sound. Is it better just to buy a sound card or is there a driver that I can use that will work on my brand with it being xp home?
