We can't help you if we don't know the make and model of your webcam as the driver and other software is specific to each model.

I think (s)he has given make/model number?

If you google for the drivers there are a few hits out there that seem to offer them?

One such site is:

http://www.drivers4ue.eu/m/merkury_...

and another:

http://www.oneapp-alldrivers.co.uk/...

This camera seems to be quite an olde model? Presuming so, where did you get it and why was there no driver's disk with it? If you are unable to successfully obtain and install drivers I suggest you return it to vendor for a refund?

There is a whole range of usb cameras about these days; many quite inexpensive (and drivers usually come with them, or are easily available).

If you go to a site to download them... AVOID any offer to scan your system for whatever. Likewise avoid any download manager offer - unless t's something like "getright from getright.com" which is a safe and reliable utility.

Also scan the file once downloaded. Likewise set a restore point before (a:) downloading file(s); and (b:) expanding and installing the drivers. This is pure safety first... - just in-case whichever site you go to and download from had a nasty or three lurking about (even within the files)...

I used the string/search term:

Merkury M-WC310 drivers

which is what was offered/used by Google rather than using my initial Mercury M-WC310 drivers.
