Should be right off the usb, have you tried this option yet?

1.Check the USB port is enabled and powered.
2.Plug the product then go to device manager (Right click the My computer icon,
properties, hardware, device manager)
3.Click + next to the Universal serial bus controllers or other device to see if anything
that is with yellow question mark or green exclamation mark.
4.Please choose it and update the driver. You may choose Windows Update or from
the CD-ROM. (Please insert Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME CD). This device should
show as a USB mass storage device in USB Controllers, and the driver position
should be C:WINDOWSsystem32driversusbstor.sys. Moreover, please disable the
anti-virus program (ex: Norton Virus SW) just in case the software obstruct the
detecting. And if this computer is in the office, please check your user permission in
the system.

Yeah, Windeos should see it. Does it work on a different computer? It could just be dead.
