on the board it has 2 pins inwhich if you place a jumper it clears the bios. i did it thinking it would just reset them.

Shorting those pins didn't clear the BIOS but reset the CMOS. If the BIOS actually were cleared or damaged it would be impossible to boot or flash the BIOS.

Can you enter the BIOS setup?
If so, confirm you are booting from the HD.

CMOS and BIOS are often used (incorrectly) to mean the same thing - the pins you shorted are to do the same thing as removing the (CMOS) battery which resets the BIOS to its default settings, it doesn't wipe the BIOS completely.

What reason did you have for trying to reset the BIOS in the first place? I suspect whatever it was, this is the question you should be asking. Are you getting any POST beeps? Have you checked the video cable? Are you using on-board graphics or a separate card?

No post beeps, neither intergrated nor pci graphics work. no start up page, just a running computer with a black screen.

You didn't say if these problems were there before the BIOS reset.

Standard troubleshooting is to remove all add-on cards, any USB attachments, all except one memory stick. If still no joy then power supply needs checking/swapping out, after which the motherboard itself is suspect.

Thank you Johnr, thats exactly how its set up at the moment. I suppose ill just scrap the motherboard and start over. its a shame, i bought it and had it assembled at the local computer store, turns out he was selling old components as new. shame on me. thanks to everyone whom tried to help this lost cause, lol.
