Specs: Windows 7, 8 GB DDR3
It was working on my older PC which used a Window 7 home premium too, except was a 32bit.
This Windows 7 on my new PC is 64 bit.
Last time I used scanner was a month ago or so (shortly before I bought this PC).

New PC didn't have drivers for scanner, I downloaded many and it says it cannot detect it and in devices management it gave a (!)
Now with the ScanWizard software It detects the scanner, the (!) is gone and shows a scanner icon.
It even detect the scanner brand etc.
But it wont work. It says scanner not ready etc.
I even use probe scanner and it detects it but wont work.

Is a 1999 or 2000 scanner, I never had problems with windows 7 until now with new PC.
It's a pre-Win XP era scanner.

For 64-bit Windows, the scanner driver also has to be 64-bit.
Microtek has never released a 64-bit Windows 7 driver for the ScanMaker 3600 so you'll have to buy a new scanner. If it's over 10 years old you've done well to keep it running all this time, but now you'll have to replace it.
