Specs: Windows 7
Connects USB only - operating system is Windows 8.1 64 bit HP 15 Laptop 500GB
Contacted Microsoft and HP both said to find a generic driver for a "TDC-35 DIGITAL CAMERA" and that should work with this product that only plugs in through a USB, it is not high tech. I only need to download/ upload a few still pictures from it. Thank you in advance.

Normally you would simply remove the memory card from the camera and put the card in to a card reader which many laptops have built-in or you can buy a USB card reader.
Card reader works on all versions of Windows.

However, I believe your camera has no memory card, it only has internal storage. It's an old camera which was designed to work with Windows XP, not Windows 8. You will have to buy a modern camera to get around that problem, one which uses a memory card.

You are going to get nowhere with a camera that does not use a memory card, you should never have bought a camera like that.

If you plug it into the computer, switch it on, then go to "Computer" and look at the drives, does one appear for the camera? If so look into the folders and sub-folders there. If you see one called DCIM then it is likely that you can add or copy pictures to and from that location. You would have to use manual methods - copy/paste or whatever.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
