how to remove drivers (nV4_disp

Nvidia Geforce2

Specs: Windows XP
I'm having terrible trouble with video card. At one point I got message about NV4-Disp being on infinite loop. I have now reinstalled XP with Service Pack 2, disconnected NVIDIA GEFORCE2 64 mbcard and just used onboard graphics, but screen still keeps locking up and system freezing. Question is this:
how do I uninstall all existing video drivers and is there a simple "Universal" Video driver I can download and install to replace it. Some forum told me to go to Device Manager and click Display Adapters but my list is not showing up such a heading. The nearest thing it shows is a video controller heading showing the yellow question mark. HELP!!! How do I replace driver and with what? (I can't find Geforce2 on Nvidia website as it must be an old driver)
