Specs: Windows 7
I'm having trouble with my flash drive, F which is 128 GB, actually this is the second time it happened, the same thing went on. I lost my data. When I tried to transfer things into the drive, it's fine but I think there's somekind of loop hole i think, when I created folder in there, and put (let's say word docs), all of them disappeared! It showed your folder is empty. I try to check for problem using window, it fixed but still the probs went on. As yet, I did tried cmd method, recuva and a few things more, recuva managed to detect the files, but cant recover.. Please, I;m desperately needed help and also, can somebdy tell me how to i get rid of those trouble!! I would love to have my data back and my USB drive worked fine. Thanks

USB pen drives/flash drives can fail without any warning and they are certainly not suitable as a backup device!

They are designed only for short-term data storage such as when you want to transfer files from one PC to another.

For backing up purposes you should have used an external hard drive or optical discs.

I fear you may have lost your data because you used the wrong type of storage device.

If your flash drive played up previously you should have replaced it rather than using it again.

Try this on it (it helped someone on here against all odds):

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
