Hy what exactly you wanna do ?
Where is the program you wanna run ?
Well IF "A:" probably means the floppy to in a different place in dos like in C or D you just have to type "C:" enter and it will be C: and your in the hard drive. If yu want to open a folder called new folder on drive C or A you have to enter in that partiton location where it is for example i want to open a folder called "new folder" on drive C you have to enter in drive C by typing:
C:
cd new folder
it will lok like this
"C:\new folder>"
