hdd corrupted windows stops loading

Specs: Windows 7
i used a hdd on a dell dimension e520. hdd=seagate 80gb. i bought a new computer with i7 ,intel desktop board ,ram ddr3, 32 gig kingston, 1tb wd hdd. it was working properly. i tried the new computer with my old hdd. windows xp stopped starting up halfway n displayed the blue screen. why?i want to access my old files in my old hdd.

If you are trying to run your new computer with just your old harddrive then it will not work - hence the blue screen. You need to add the old drive as a slave/secondary drive, still booting from your new drive (you may need to check your BIOS settings to make sure it doesn't try booting from the old drive, especially if they are both SATA connected).
