getting (code10) error on a driver

Specs: win 7 64 bit, 3.2 4.0
I have an Intelliboard vers. 1.4 hooked up to a Windows 7 pc. I am getting a (code 10) driver cannot start error on the Prolific usb-to-serial Comm Port (Comm4)Driver in device manager. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and tried to uddate the driver several times from a Micro driver CD that came with the Intelliboard, and from online. Each time it says that I have the correct driver installed. Any suggestions would be great!
