ethernet controller...please help me

Specs: Windows XP
I bought a used Dell Optiplex GX260. I was using usb connection for enternet but now I am trying to switch to cable. beside ethernet controller I see a yellow ? and !. I tried finding one on dell with no luck. I have googled for two days straight. Also I found many ethernet adapters. Is this the same?

Ethernet adapter drivers will need to be specific to your NIC.

Goto Dell website under support > drivers and downloads > your service tag number. It should have the specific drivers you need for your model. What happened when you went to Dell website?

I did that and under network there are only 3 drivers. none of them are ethernet controller. is there anything else i can do?

Sounds like you were doing something wrong as I just found NIC drivers for that model on Dell site:

Thank you. I seen that one and when it did not spell out "ethernet controller driver" I was afraid to install it. I did now and am currently using comcast now! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
