Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, ntel Core i3 - 1.70 GHz-4GB / 4GB DDR3 Ram
Have a Lenovo G50 laptop which due to "something that happened" cannot go into the internet anymore. The device manager shows there is a driver missing for the Ethernet controller. Downloaded on my PC from the Lenovo site, what I thought was the appropriate driver and installed it on a flash disc. This was the (WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek, Intel) Setup Wizard. Ran it on my laptop and installed it. Then went into Device manager and right clicked on Ethernet controller that carried an exclamation mark in yellow and clicked on update driver software and the "Browse my computer for driver software" from C:\drivers folder, but windows could not find any appropriate software.

Can you help me. Thanks in advance

✔ Best Answer
You need the LAN driver. WLAN = Wireless LAN.

G50 Realtek LAN driver - direct download (3.8MB): https://download.lenovo.com/consume...

From Device Manager right click the Ethernet Controller and choose Uninstall. Do not let it remove "Software" if it should ask, otherwise ignore warnings. The existing driver should install again (new hardware found) when you restart the computer. It might help.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
