Specs: Windows XP Pro SP3, Pentium 4 HT, 3.00 GHz-x64-1 Gb. DDR-400
Hello,

I am looking for drivers for an old eMachines computer. I contacted the support and they said because of the age they no longer have support for this system. I don't have any recovery disks either. The support specialist told me to contact the motherboard manufacturer, TriGem, except they don't have any support for their motherboards. I don't know if it helps but the motherboard is a TriGem Anaheim 2.

Now I found it funny that Acer would remove all of the 10 year old support pages because HP still has the Compaq Deskpro 286 support page.

Thanks

I like your handle, NOT, obviously you are trying to undertake Tech Support considering the amount of questions you ask, I say GOGGLE. There is an eMachines Unofficial Website which I have linked to in several posts from genuine people in need...

I might as well go and pull that old Master Hacker CD out of my closet and unzip all of the viruses contained on it. I did do a google search before but if I wanted either a virus or a driver downloader program I am in luck, but I already have a full 400 Mb. of viruses and I don't trust using any driver downloading program. Also, the computer that I needed the driver for is a file server which will never see internet. I found the driver doing a live search for "Crystal CS4281" and for anyone who needs the driver I found it here.

Also, isn't the point of this website to provide technical support?

I am not making money off the server. I am using it to backup my files so I can erase the hard drive and do a clean install of Windows 7. Upgrades often result in programs that don't run, error messages, etc.

I also make no money off anything else. If I get rid of a computer it leaves with a clean install of either Ubuntu, Xubuntu or SuSE linux. I never get rid of anything with Windows because I don't want fined because I didn't have the license.

Considering your age, you know quite a bit about computers. But I don't understand why you would bother tech support about such old hardware? Since you're a self proclaimed "Comp Geek", I don't know how it is that you can't find the drivers yourself? You know the make/model of the system, you know the make/model of the board & if you have the board in front of you, you can simply look at the chips on it to identify the chipset, video, sound, etc. Then all you've got to do is search for the drivers. It's amazing what you can find once you learn how to google.
