An "unknown device" in Device Manager means the driver for that device is not installed.

Uninstalling it won't do any good, it'll just keep re-appearing because, unless that device can be physically removed, Windows will simply detect that there's an unknown device next time you reboot.

To remove the error you must identify that device and install it's driver from the PC or motherboard manufacturer's website.

Under which category in Device Manager is this unknown device listed?

Please post the make/model of your computer or laptop. Your system is missing some device drivers but it must be to something you don't use, otherwise you would have noticed a problem. Card reader?
