http://www.lg.com/us/support-produc...
would be from lg's site.
or
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/FI... (never used softpedia, may want to review before downloading.)

On another note, under normal circumstances this kinda question would be a one reply kind of question, so bumping it probably caused you to miss out on having someone reply faster.

Mike, thanks for ur response but it is for firmware. My computer is asking for a *.inf file which is a driver.

It is not a CD Driver issue par-se the Optical Drivers are built in to Vista, more than likely you have not installed the Chipset Driver Package

ARM Devices are the future, great British Design !

hi all, thanx for ur responses, i have all ready tried flashing LG 1.04V FIRMWARE. AND IT IS SUCCESSFULLY DONE. THE DVD DRIVE IS STILL NOT SHOWING ITSELF AS A DVD DRIVE. in the device manager, it is still yellow. I uniinstalled the driver and restarted. still the same. when i made a manual update, it is asking for a *.inf file. when i show the C Drive itself in whole. it said the inf file is unavailable
