One of many sites you can use is fileconvoy.com.
It is the site most frequently suggested here. It has
the drawback that files will only be stored for a limited
time before they are deleted. I believe that 5 days is
the default, and 30 days might be the maximum.

You just go to the website, upload your file, say how
long to store it, and a link will be displayed. Copy the
link and paste it into a post here, and tell us what the
link is for so we will know what to expect.

Very simple.

Just to add...any idea how I can download the printer drivers without using Google? This is totally absurd. I think I should install my old workhorse Windows 7 Ultimate again...if I can find a valid install disk.

In the Windows Settings, Choose the default apps screen > Web browser.
Now choose Firefox as your default browser. Firefox will now be used as
your default browser. Make sure to save changes in the end.

Hi Naheed. I should have mentioned I have just acquired a new laptop with Win 10 Home. Unfortunately it came with Edge and as we all know you cannot delete Edge or use another browser. Please say I'm wrong. I did all you mentioned with no luck.

If your laptop has Win10 S-mode rather that Win10 Home, you cannot change the browser or add software unless you get it from the Microsoft Store. I posted a response about it in your other thread but as usual, the info you provided is incomplete so I can only make guesses about what you have & what you're trying to do.

I never suggested I had s mode. In fact you did in the other discussion. Belarc suggests it's Home edition.

"I never suggested I had s mode"

I had to guess because you never supply all the necessary info. If you had provided the exact model number & system specs, I (& others) wouldn't have to guess.

Why are you depending on Belarc? Look for yourself. Do you see this on your screen? >>> https://www.ghacks.net/wp-content/u...

"Windows 10 in S mode is a version of Windows 10 that's streamlined for security and performance, while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it allows only apps from the Microsoft Store, and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing."

Riider no I can't see it. But now I'm very worried. I tried to post a screenshot here but copy and paste didn't respond. Here are my Windows specs I derived from the SEARCH panel.
Edition: Windows 10 Home single language
Version: 1909
OS build: 18363.1139

ABOUT reads:
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3 - 1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.19GHz
Installed RAM: 4.00
etc.
If you come to the conclusion I had bought an inferior product tell me as I have 7 days to return the product.

"I tried to post a screenshot here but copy and paste didn't respond"

There's no provision for posting photos on this forum. If you need to show something, use a free site and post a link to it.

S-mode can be eliminated but 1st you have to know if you have it or not. Press the Windows key + R to bring up the RUN box. Type winver & press Enter. Does it say anything about "Windows 10 S operatiing system"?

"If you come to the conclusion I had bought an inferior product tell me"

You bought a laptop with an i3 & 4GB RAM, so yes, you bought a low end inferior product. You ask for advice on here all the time, I don't understand why you didn't ask for recommendations before you bought?

EDIT: You kind of asked in another post, but you should have come back with a few choices & asked which was best.

I was mostly guided by price and the fact that I don't really need a fired up machine. I only need to increase the RAM. For the rest I have a few external hdd's to backup to. My main disappointment is Google Edge. But what I'll do is to upgrade to Win10 Pro. Hopefully that will sort out the problem. One is never too old to learn I guess.

I disagree. Adding RAM & upgrading to Win10 Pro will cost even more money & could possibly void your warranty. I don't think you've determined which OS you have yet but if it's Win10 Home S, you can eliminate the S Mode & convert to Home at no cost. Or maybe you should just take it back & get a better laptop, maybe one with a 17" screen, that way you won't have to fiddle with a external monitor or HDMI to VGA adapter?

BTW, Edge is from Microsoft, not Google. It's based on Chromium, not Chrome.

Did check with winver. It states win 10 Home single language. What is negative about the Single Language scenario?

I think we've determined without a doubt that it is win 10 Home but I don't know if there are various levels of Home.
