Specs: Windows 7 32bit, Intel i5
HI Does anyone know how to install dell printer drivers, I have a dell 2130cn and 2135cn printers at work that i want to connect my laptop to so i can print via usb cable, I downloaded the driver from dell site i unzipped it but when i look in the folder there is no setup file to click on to start the process, most of the files in the folder are dll files, there is an setup icon for updating drivers but as don't have a driver on laptop there is nothing to update. Using win 7 32 bit. I posted a simliar post in 2010, have tried the website mentioned in a reply but not working this time.

There's no setup file because what's there is just the drivers.. go ahead and do this.

Go into your Control Panel and scan your computer for hardware, it will find your printer. When it asks you to find the drivers, navigate to where you downloaded that folder and it will most likely locate a .inf file. It will then install the printer for you.

From there, once its installed, you can go ahead and delete that folder you installed it from.

Thats it.. hope this helps!

Thanks will try that. The .inf file will that be in the downloaded / unzipped folder. As there is no .inf file type in the folder just .dl / .tbl / .xr / .dd / .ic / .ch / .cfg / .cd

Well I assumed it was an .inf file, it usually is. But since you listed all the extensions, it will most likely use the .cfg file then

But this should work.
