Some Lexmark software is still running in the background. It is loaded everytime Windows is started. You need to close that Lexmark process by opening the Task Manager.

Find the Lexmark item in the Processes list, then click "End Process".
Repeat for any other Lexmark items in the list.

Now try uninstalling the printer software.

the only thing to show up in the task master is the lexmart uninstall ,which shows up everytime I try to uninstall it , also this time when I tried to uninstall it I notice it tells me to unplug the U, SB cable to it , which there isn,t . any way I select ok , then I select uninstall , and I am told it can not be uninstall because it is still running . where do I go now ?

"the only thing to show up in the task master is the lexmart uninstall "

You are looking under the wrong tab in Task Manager.
You should be looking under the Processes tab,
Not the Applications tab.
