Can't re-install Premiere Pro

March 26, 2014 at 16:31:10
Specs: Windows XP, Intel quad TM2 3GB 2.4GHz
I caught a virus which messed up my system. I re-installed XP but Premiere Pro wont re-install from my CD. If I double-click Setup.exe it says "You do not have sufficient security credentials to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4". If I R click Setup.exe and select Run as Administrator it wants a password. I don't have a password.

Try leaving password blank. By default I think it is blank?

Equally try using the same entry as in the logon box; administrator, or Administrator, or admin, or Admin

Tried leaving password blank. By logon box do you mean the option popup? If so, there are 3 options in it: my name, my name with some numbers, Administrator. I've tried them all. But if it was working properly I wouldn't even need to look at Setup.exe, it would all work just by putting the CD in. But when I put the CD in it comes up with a window with a large button saying Install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, but when I press that button the window disappears and nothing else happens.

I really don't know. In local disc C > Documents and Settings it lists: Administrator, All Users, Flippance (my name), Flippance.MR-4AODEABDD27D, Default User

If I log off a box appears with Flippance in it, so maybe I'm logged into windows as Flippance
