cant create new drive on comp windows 7

Specs: Windows 7, 4 GB, 640 HDD, Intel i5, 2.3GHz.
hi in not able to creat a new drive in my comp-windows 7 premium. after i click on finish, i get this pop up window"disk management" which reads "cannot create new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions".
I dont quite understand this problem. Could anyone help me regarding? Thanks in advance. :)

How many partitions do you have already? The maximum number of primary partitions on a drive is 4. You can increase the number of drives by making one of the primary partitions an extended one and then create your additional drives in that.

hi john. thx for the reply! i have 4 currently.. and i have these 2 called healthy(recovery partition) and healthy(boot,page file, crash dump, primary partition), which makes me have only one extended drive. any method by which i can get more drives?
