Hi all i'm trying to find a BIOS update for my old system, i ran a biosagent scan and the results are as follows:

BIOS Type: Award
BIOS Date: May 26th 2006
BIOS ID: 05/26/2006-i945P-6A79TG04C-00-None
BIOS OEM: Intel I945P BIOS for 8I945PM 20k NF - 20k
Chipset: Intel 2770 rev 129
SuperIO: ITE 8712F rev 7 at port 002E
Manufacturer: Packard Bell NEC
Motherboard: 00000000000000000000000

I've had no luck in finding the update myself so was wondering if anyone here could help?
Thanks so much x

Why do you need a BIOS update?
A BIOS update is inherently risky and should only be done if the update addresses a specific problem you are having. It should not be done because you are hoping it will solve a problem you are having or because there is a newer version available.

A BIOS chip can be flashed only a small and unknown number of times, sometimes they fail the first time. If this happens the only recovery is usually physical replacement of the chip, if it is available.

You will only get the BIOS Update from NEC/Packard Bell. Do you know the PB Model Number ?? Though I doubt a 4+ year old PC would need an update !
