"it didn't completely install" any error messages ?

Is it listed in Add/Remove Programs ? if so use Revo Unistaller Free to completely remove:

tnx Jolicloud for the respond hope u can help me with this. When i tried downloading the realtek sound driver from sony website that is compatible with my laptop it shows that its installing so i follow the prompt and restart my laptop and after that i can see the sound icon w/o red x on it so i thought that it completely installed but when i checked on my playback device it shows there that its working properly but i cannot hear any sounds from my speaker in my laptop even playing music in my media player even when i plugged in my headset still i can't hear anything..

One more thing after checking my program files from my hard disk if im not mistaken some of the files from the realtek driver which contains INF files type didn't installs automatically. hope to hear from u again for this issue. Tnx
