Hi Pam,

Pkzip/Pkunzip are dos applications that became the standard compression utility of the time. There were quite a few others.

Over time Pkware grew and grew. (e.g. originally it could only output to one disc, then was updated to spread across any number of discs.)

Because of this it is 'facilities rich' with many commands

If you do not have the user manual, suggest you download. Be warned there a lot of pages.

I have found some commands can be confusing due to terminology or limited explanation.
e.g. there are commands -rp and -rP which differ slightly asto what they do.
