Solved Want to run one DOS program, don't want to mess up Windows 7

Specs: Windows 7, Pentium 4 2GHz / 4 gigs.
I have a telescope mirror analysis program I bought many years ago. It's a DOS program and I have the files on this desktop computer. It tries to start, but of course won't run. Just looking for a really simple way to use this again without screwing up the main OS. I'll probably need step by step help. Thanks ..... Ray

✔ Best Answer
Try DOSBox, see here:
https://www.google.com/search?clien...

It runs as a program within Windows so it does not affect the OS.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Did you try compatibility mode?

It might take me a couple of days to say who gave me the best answer since my furnace is dying and I have to find someone reasonable to fix it. In the meantime thanks for your suggestions :-)
