You can save all file names in a text file from the command prompt.

Hi Ankur,

why do you want to save *ALL* files to a *TEXT* file?

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

No not C+
But you can see all your files on your harddrive by using this command:

Tree C: /F >> C:\log.txt

Now look in your root catalog. and you see log.txt

You need to use the "Find First File" and "Find Next File" system calls, as detailed here: http://www.arl.wustl.edu/~lockwood/... . You don't say which C compiler you are using, but its library should provide wrappers to these calls.

One thing at a time. Do you want to walk a directory tree or do you want to have a program autoexecute? And why would you want the latter? TBH it's beginning to sound as if you want to write a virus, not anti-virus software.

Perhaps you could explain exactly what it is that you are trying to do.

For goodness sake! Do a little work for yourself.

Google "windows scheduled task".
