Specs: Windows Vista, 2GB
Okay, so today my friend asked me if I knew of a program that writes ISO files to flash drives, but I don't know of anything, but told him I would try and find out. Here's the conversation:

Friend:
Do you know of a program that writes an ISO file to a USB drive?
I've been trying to do it, I have Windows 7 and Linux to use, so far nothing works.

Me:
so you want to install an OS to a USB drive then?

Friend:
No, turn the USB into a bootlable drive to install something
I can do it with any linux distro... But I'm trying to do it with Windows XP... not working so well.
I usually run Linux off of Jump drives

Me:
can't you just copy and paste the ISO file as long as there is enough space?

Friend:
No,I mean BURN it to the drive
So at start up in BIOS I can hit f12 and use it as a start-up disk

Me:
I don't know of anything, but I will look for something

Friend:
Okay, if you want, thanks.
I'm still looking, personally... I just need to use Windows XP on a flash drive as my netbook lacks an optical drive for CDs.

If you have any questions I need to ask him, just tell me, thank you.

You're, uh, very thorough with your background.

In your future posts you should probably just use the Post Reply box and not copy and paste from a word processor. That way it'll all fit.

Anyway, this may help:

Now that's what I call a sticky situation
