Hi Ashkanita,

Is your operating system pure dos?

Or are you running dos under somehing else like dosbox?

What is the program you are trying to print from?

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

In XP what you call "DOS" is in fact NTVDM (New Technology Virtual DOS Machine), and is quite different from "pure standalone MS-DOS".

The main difference is that NTVDM does not allow direct port access......

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

Hi Ashkanita,

suggest you try having Foxpro print to a file.
Then see if you can access the file and print with a different program e.g. word.

Other thoughts:-

a) you could try searching on some of the Foxpro User Group forums, as almost certainly someone there has already experienced and cured this problem.

b) Windows versions of Foxpro are available.

c) dos programs generally each had their own drivers for the printer being used. Because of the age of these programs, the printers would be old style now.
Possibly your dos Foxpro may not support the printer you are now using.

Please advise back on progress.

As a matter of interest, where are you located? I am in Hammersmith, West London.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
