Hi all guy´s. I have the following two questions:

1) I need to translate a simple DOS program that has the menus as text, as I can see using diskedit, but I know tha this program can be dangerous, and I would want to know if there exist an alternate prg to make this task.

2) In an old 486, is there a way to run the BIOS program from the DOS Prompt without rebooting the mobo? Sometimes I want to enable the bios power manager, and sometimes I need to deactivate it, and it implies reboot the machine, and relog into networks, etc.

Thanks for your patience in advance.

If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong.

What kind of program is it, .EXE, .COM or .BAT?
For BAT files, you need a simple text editor to make your changes.

For EXE and COM files, if you simply have to change text passages, make a copy of the file, edit the file with e.g. Hex-Editor MX and make your changes, save file and give it a try.

It is a exe file. Happens that the prg is translated partially, and it becomes some confusious to use. Part in spanish, part in english, and parts in dutch. I want to make all in english or spanish for a friend that don´t understand english.

Thanks to you.
