Why is Yahoo attaching my pics when they are copy & pasted?

February 19, 2017 at 04:30:51
Specs: Windows 7
I always copy and paste pictures in my Yahoo messages, but the last couple of weeks, they are automatically being attached for some reason.
I have googled trying to get answers, but no luck.
I'm desperate to be able to copy and paste pictures in again.
Thanks in advance.

It may well be the latest/current updates from Yahoo-land that are causing this to happen... They are frequently tweaking" it - so as "to improve service and for your convenience" - in the language of yahoo-land speak...

Yahoo messenger is becoming a nightmare compared to what it once was...

There are two versions for yahoo mail. One is called classic, can'tremember what they call the other one. One has constant ad mail in the in-box - that admail is top of the liist of mail. The other one doesn't but is a barebones style.

One version has messenger as an icon (with 3 pr 4 others) in the left column; the other one doesn't.

Which version are you using?

I'm not using the basic classic one...the other one I use.
For years I have been able to copy and paste pics, but then all of a sudden, it just attaches them!

As I suggest - this may be yet another "improvement" yahoo in their infinite wisdom have foisted onto all users...

Contacting yahoo isn't likely to much help as apart from a few basic support Q & As on their site actual proper "live" support is now third-party operated. Those third-paty outfits allow a free call to them - but will charge for any solutions they offer... Their based (if I judge from the voices) in Inja (India - likely Bangalore?).

The whole yahoo situation is an increasing disaster, and I suspect it may not be to long before yahoo is no more... Or else charges for anything it provides (mail and or messenger).

I'm not using the basic classic one...

That leaves me still konphused... Are you using what they rather konphusingly call basic classic (on some sites/support responses) - or full featured

They are different...

If you click on the gear wheel icon (top right) and go to settings... then scroll down to bottom of the box which opens.. there is an option to select (what they call there) basic or full featured...

Which one are you on/using?

Whichever it be, try using the other one?
