Why does San disk ultra 8 GB class 10 not work with nikon ?

Specs: Linux x86_64)
I Bought my wife a San Disk Ultra GB cl-ass10 for a Nikon Cool pix S'S She formatted the card in the camera before using it took a few photos then said it couldn't read the card.

It works in my Olympus Stylus 1
It's an 8 gb card so as far as I know is not High capacity

Is it a high capacity card??? does her camera accept that style?

I wonder if #2 really meant:
"It is a high capacity card"

See if your Nikon Cool pix instructions state a maximum size.

Have you exact model number for your particular Nikon?

I assume we are talking about an SD card.
