Solved Why does :Memory card is write protected come on my screen?

Specs: Windows Vista
When I put on my camera to take a picture,"Memory card is write protected."Is on the screen.I can't take a picture.

Is this a new memory card or one you've been using and it all of a sudden started acting up? Many SD cards have a tab on the side you move from locked to unlock. So check that first. Even if it's a card you've been using maybe someone else messed with it.

If it's a new card it probably needs to be formatted first, although I don't know if an unformatted card would give a locked message.

Thank you so much for your information.I took out the little tab at the bottom of the memory card and put it back in.Now everything is fine.

I moved the small tab on the card, still shows the same message 'this card can not be used' I have also used a card from another camers and it still shows the same message

Are the cards compatible with whatever you're using them in? Did the first card work in that camera(?) before or is this the first time you tried it? The cards may need to be formatted in whatever you're using it or there may be something wrong with what you're using it in.
