Specs: Windows XP
Photos now so faded I can't see them. Digital photo frame is only two months old. I tried a new SanDisk and it doesn't help.

Can the photo files be taken off the frame and checked out on the computer? That way it would prove whether it was the frame or some corruption of the files. My guess leans towards the frame screen fading, in which case it might not be possible to fix. Let us have the make and model name of the frame, just in case it is a known fault.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Derek nailed it. If you have exposed the LCD digital picture frame to sun for long periods of time, the picture will fade irreversibly - SOURCE

Also, no, computer images themselves do not fade in any way, that I am aware of. The culprit is inevitably a screen malfunction. Provided these images are on your sandisk-type devices they should display perfectly normal on any other computer. Periodically, a file system or the actual photo itself can become corrupted (viruses, old sd ram devices, failed copying process etc), often rendering the picture unusable/unopenable, but no fading.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!
