video on camera but not on memory card (??)

Canon / Powershot s2 is

Specs: Windows XP
I have an older model (3 years or so) Canon PowerShot S2 IS. I took several videos over the weekend, and downloaded as I usually do using drag and drop, but one of the videos won't transfer. I can play it on my camera, but that's it. I tried transferring the memory card to another camera, but apparently this video I took isn't on it, because the other camera said it was blank. Any ideas???

Can you still play the video with the memory card not installed? In which case the camera must have some internal memory as well so you need to either read the camera manual to see if there's a way of swapping copying from internal memory to card, or you may have to use whatever software suite came with the camera.

The camera won't even come on without the memory card in it. I imagine the video must be stuck on some sort of internal memory, but I can't figure out where or how to get it out.
