The speed at which you download anything, including videos, would be more a factor of your internet connection speed, not your machine (assuming it's a reasonably new machine---as you state). Also could be that you need to update whatever player (flash, etc.) you're using to view the media with (though with a reasonably new machine, you should have the latest versions installed)...

You don't mention anything about what you have as far as your connection; that would help if you could explain in some detail...

yes, the connection...is it wireless or ethernet (cable, DSL) ?
That has a HUGE bearing on download speeds...let us know, ok?
Also try a speedtest at
http://www.speedtest.net/
and let us know your download and upload speeds...thanks

Thank you for responding, I have a DSL connection with Windstream, my son in law installed flash player when he set up the computer 2 days ago, so it is brand new. Also have problems with my other computer. Have hooked up a USB adaptor to get the internet on that one and it won't work at all. The USB adaptor is brand new also, and says it is connected, but no internet access....I am at a loss

did you try contacting the USB adapter tech support? They are usually eager to help in ironing out connection problems.

Yes, I did, but only got so far, and haven't called back....so should I have Windstream come out and take a look at things, because I just can't even look at videos on Yahoo news without out pauses and such....
