Specs: Windows 7, don't know
my media player suddenly has hundreds of little video files in it which are controlled by trustedinstaller ... where did they come from? ... I did find a way to change permission from trustedinstaller to myself so I can delete them -one file at a time- ... is there a way to get rid of them, and why are they showing up in my media player in the first place? Would system restore do it? Thanks in advance

Media player video files are by default stored in "My Videos" on your computer. Go in there and you should have the option to remove all of them.

Do they keep coming back?

Thank you for replying. I read a process online to change 'ownership' of the files from trustedinstaller to myself, which enables me to delete. So far nothing has come back. I was hoping there might be a way to delete them other than one at a time, which will take forever lol. I've had this laptop for many months now, and I wonder if anyone can tell my how/why these files just showed up now out of nowhere.
Thank you in advance for your responses!
