|Last year I bought a samsung SGH -G600 phone and installed the supplied the "PC Studio 3" connectivity software on my home PC. It worked fine for a few months (i.e. PC recognised phone when USB connected) but after a system crash, the PC would no longer "see" the phone. I uninstalled the software using "add remove" and tried to reinstall it from the CD.|
I got an error message saying "a version of this setup software is already running, please wait for it to stop and try again"
I searched the hard disk for remnants of Samsung software and also ran Norton Utilities to scan / repair the Registry.
As far as i can tell, all references to samsung and PC Studio 3 have either been removed or renamed (by me putting a double s in the key so I could change it back if necessary)
BUT when I run the CD, I stilll get the same error message.
Can anyone suggest why the autorun.exe thinks there is an instance of the programme already running?
