Panasonic camera SD card pictures missing

Panasonic lumix / Dmc-zs6
July 9, 2010 at 06:59:24
Specs: Windows XP
I recently purchased a new Panasonic camera and took several pictures with it. When I tried downloading photos to my computer I got "insert sd" error message. I took the sd card out and tried reading it with my card reader and nothing. Also took sd card to photo shop and their machines could not read either. Tried a recovery program and nothing. Please help! I have more than 100 pictures I took that I would hate to lose.

do you still see the photos on your cam using that same SD card?

Are you sure the pics are on the card or in the internal memory?

I cannot view the photos anymore in the camera -- it is as if they all disappeared. All I get is a message saying insert SD card again. I did that several times and nothing. Please help. Thanks.

try file scavenger to see if the pics are still on the card.

You may have to purchase the prog if it finds your pics. I've used it many times, works great. I don't endorse it, I am just suggesting it for you.

That is the only prog that ever worked for me and recovered the pics with the actual names on them rather than just number files like get data back or the others....free ones don't have the technology.
