Specs: Macintosh
My nikon coolpix aw110 is having a problem.
When it is in camera mode it will freeze after a couple of frames and then the only way to do anything is to remove the battery and start again. The problem still persists.
Could you please help as the camera is new but i bought it outside my country and cannot return for warranty

Check the manual and see if you can force a reset. Here's a download if you don't have it:

Might be a problem with the battery or battery contacts.

Apparently the camera is supposed to be waterproof but a lot of reviews say it's failed after being in the water, although the failure is usually a bad screen or it being totally dead. If you've had it in the water that may be the cause.

I have the same problem with my s9500. Works fine most of the time, but randomly will just freeze with the viewfinder still on and "viewing", and nothing works. Not zoom, not shutter release, none of the physical buttons do anything. Nada. Not even the power. Like you, the only thing to do is remove and replace the battery and it will work again. Until it doesn't.

I sent it in for repair, and all they did was restore it to factory settings and send it back to me. And it still does freezes up at random times. Fortunately for me, it was still under warranty when I sent it in, so they also guarantee their repairs, and I'm sending it back to them. Hope they REALLY fix it this time, or send me a new camera.

Hope it works out for you. Keep after them. They might send you a new one just to avoid future hassles.

Don't forget to preorder your Hatch green chili for this fall. Many vendors ship world-wide.
