Need help with installing digital thermostat?

Specs: Windows XP
Hi,
I am upgrading my thermostat from Simple Comfort 2003(Cool/Heat) to Noma Heating/Cooling Programmable Thermostat. The thing is, some wiring terminals don't match. Please look at this photo and help me with my questions below:

https://uapontario.sslpowered.com/webfiles/yahoogroups/Misc/thermostat_wiring.jpg

1. Should I keep the jumper between Y & W? (They are apart on the new one)
2. Do I need the Blue wire from old thermostat? I don't have Blue terminal on my new one. Where do I hook it?
Thank you very much for your help.

I'd try a heating engineer's forum if I were you.

Is Google, or some other search engine, messing around here -
last two posts have been related to heating & keeping a snake!! -
it's got to be a wind-up??!!

EDIT: - Just noticed it's the same OP in both cases - just shows 'care in the community' isn't working ;-)

Where in the title "Computing.net" does it says heating?

Or, the sub forum "Digital Photo/Video"

I think it's an effort at spam - the OPs link is to a thermostat
supplier & yet they are asking about the wiring on one. Makes
you wonder why they are advertising their ineptitude, either in
posting on an unrelated forum, or not being able to do what they
sell.....
