Solved Is Polaroid t1455 driver compatible with Windows 8?

Specs: Windows 8
I know it's an old model, but I love it and want to use it again. It's compatible with Windows 2000, XP or Vista, but I'd like to use it with my Windows 8 desktop. However, there are no updated drivers available, and I'm afraid to try to install the driver on the CD that came with the camera because it could foul up my computer. Any advice?

As Win 8 didn't exist when the polaroid was produced then the short answer is no.

However I have found that much early kit ran fine on Windows 8.1 and I've never run into such drivers fouling up the computer. System Restore from Windows would put it back to the way it was if you wanted to (without losing any of your own stuff or programs).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks, Derek! Yes, I realize the camera driver predates Windows 8, which is why I wondered if there was an updated driver available. A couple of driver sites say "no," but I don't like those sites anyway. The reason I have been hesitant to install the driver from the CD that came with the camera is because I've done that before with monitor drivers, and the computer wouldn't boot up properly until I uninstalled them. Thanks very much for your reply.

The photo/video storage on a digital camera is just like any other USB storage device. Just plug it in, wait for it to be recognized, then maneuver to the folder containing the data. No drivers or software is required.
